Spent Mushroom Compost

A tried and tested fibrous mulch and soil conditioner originating from local mushroom farms, our Spent Mushroom Compost is produced from a mix of peat and well rotted straw with chicken and horse manure added. This product is fantastic for clay soils as the high lime content helps break down the clay particles whilst the manure breaks down more slowly making it a perfect mulch for boarders and beds and particularly where roses and shrubs are planted.
Please note, using spent mushroom compost will increase the Ph of your soil immediately after use neutralising over a period time.
